Description

This module for final-year Honours students in the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies. The module is intended to continue to pursue and further develop a high level of language ability through oral discussion and by working on material in Russian towards the production of an oral presentation, an essay and other forms of academic writing and to improve your Russian vocabulary, grammar, and fluency and your presentation skills, which are important both on this degree course and in employment. It will also contribute to your general knowledge about Russia. This module will develop a high level of skills in aural and written comprehension, and in the presentation of a logical and structured argument in Russian. Students will be able to demonstrate a reasoned awareness and critical understanding of Russian culture and society, which have been significantly enhanced by a period of residence in Russia and by the Advanced Russian module. Topic-based, the classes are conducted in Russian.
